Soon after Heather told them that, “a couple of white girls from Grinnell have no business calling themselves that,” the Griot Grrrls stopped playing their distinctive brand of power progressive acoustic worldfunk at open-mics around campus.  After they cut their dreads out, Bronwyn looked so cute; her hair grew out in a sweet little pixie.  Bron started seeing Ben, a film studies major.  All their old friends took Lyssa's side in the custody dispute over the cats, Gertrude and Alice.  They both still knit.
