His body echoed in the mirror
cracked into distant images:
one & many, thick, reverse
reflection of now of an instant before.
He'd enter as before fleeing his own
aftertaste, in burning return,
suspended, sparse, to the frown
of two voices, two eyes, two moments.
All his absence stood —in his presence-
stretched until the next occasion
marking one more absence:
well-underway to a place with no path
inert curse of his own affection,
statue of his body for posterity!
Original Spanish
Su cuerpo resonaba en el espejo
vertebrado en imagenes distantes:
uno y multiple, espeso, de reflejo
reverso ahora de inmediato antes.
Entraba de anterior huida al dejo
de si mismo, en retornos palpitantes,
retenido, disperso, al entrecejo
de dos voces, dos ojos, dos instantes.
Toda su ausencia estaba —en su presencia-
dilatada hasta el proximo asidero
del comienzo inminente de otra ausencia:
rumbo intacto de espacio sin sender
al inmovil azar de su querencia,
estatua de su cuerpo venidero!

Wonderful poem!
I think there's a stanza break in the middle of the final sestet. It's a sonnet, right?
Surreal and busy!
Thank you all.
J.A.- Thanks!
Raymond-It is a sonnet but there's no stanza break.
Kenton-Very busy! I suppose that's why I like it. There's a struggle between the man and the man in the mirror.
