I had the day off so I decided to do some fishing, browsing for new writers at the fish tanks, book shelves filled with American Literature and I began near Zelazny, trolling backwards with an eye out, hunting, hoping to find a buried treasure in an unsung sea of books at a college library.

Author's Note
This sentence was my first submission to any publisher, along with my first published piece—many thanks, Monkeybicycle. I put it together at San Diego State University during the spring semester in 2010, when I paid tuition instead of rent, and slept five or six nights per week on the fourth floor of the Love Library. The early effort here marks a significant step, both personally and professionally.
