Now
A discussion of extreme versus classic
He preferred the classic
Classic trudge slow moving limping moaning
Just as scary
Extreme fast running too fast
40 days and 40 nights of dead rain
Falling like jaws full of white teeth
Jaws snapping at the empty air
Don't let the rain bite you
If it bites you it will turn you
Ran down the ramp to the dock
We all the living hide in the
Abandoned submarine
Close the hatch
Take the vessel under
We have been down here before
10 years ago improvised Jazz
Met Johnny who was 70 or 80
Probably now dead
Maybe trapped
Taking in water
Liquid clawing in from the cracks
You must take pleasure in drowning
Pressure from above the sides and below
We have been down
Not sure the first stanza adds much or even connects. I like the remaining stanzas very much.
