Group Description

The Brooklyner is a team of collaborators with diverse experience – writers, editors, actors, filmmakers, artists – inviting creatives to present stories with whatever they’ve got.

We call it Mediatelling.

Imagine a narrative and use a computer, a camera, a smartphone, a microphone, to aptly communicate that story.

We regularly update The Brooklyner online, and publish a quarterly Web Issue that can be downloaded for free as a .PDF file.

We’re interested in the blunt integrity and lyricism of compelling language that is innovative and authentic. We like realist fiction, absurdity and a hard edge. We like music. We’ll consider a broad scope of work, from essays pertaining to Qubit field theory to a rant about your mom.

Submissions are welcome through Submittable online, with more information available at The Brooklyner.
