My piece "16 Distributions" just came out in the Fall/Winter issue of Black Warrior Review. Yay! It's a real pleasure to see my curious little stories alongside work by Donna Stonecipher and Noah Eli Gordon...
This seems mostly a print journal. Here's the link:
there's a selection of sound art associated with the issue available...
Bravo, Stephen. Very cool. Congratulations.
Very nice credit, Stephen. Congratulations on the pub!
Terrific magazine, Congrats!
GIT OUTTA HERE!
Jeez... I would LUB to be in the BWR!
P.S. Did you have to kill someone? I happen to own one real bullet, and was just thinking, you know...
Congratulations, Stephen, Black Warrior is up there. Good job!
Matt, a bullet can be persuasive, but you need the proper delivery system. I could rent you a gun.
Awesome, Stephen! Congrats!
Thanks, Comrades...I have to say that I'm still pretty amped about this. I've been carrying the copy around and making people look at the table of contents. Sometimes I let people touch it, but I get concerned that they won't give it back.
This seems related to the fact that I wouldn't let myself order extra copies because I was sure the printer's would burn down or there'd be a letter about the Horrible Mistake The Editors Made by Confusing Me With Another....
And no, Matt, I didn't have to kill anyone. It all started with a confusion on the part of the editors of Sleepingfish about two Stephens each of whom has a double name and is interested in experimental music and an errant email or two. It was a curious sequence of events, the sort of thing that leaves a body thinking that maybe the printer's place will burn up before the issue actually appears...
"Sometimes I let people touch it, but I get concerned that they won't give it back."
That's the same way I feel about my bullet...
(congrats again!)
Congratulations!
thanks again folks.
