Leila Rae died yesterday. She was 87. She created some of the first and longest running online publications: Doorknobs and BodyPaint, Riverbabble, Day Without Art among others, and she organized many readings in the Bay Area.
I know she published a lot of us. I will miss her.
A new name for me, too late, sadly, as someone of her worth made our planet a better place.
Sad news.
Always sad to hear this kind of news.
She just published my piece "For Captain Paul" in the 30 year anniversary issue of A Day without Art. So sad for her family, friends, and for all of us. A true supporter of other writers has gone.
