Fine, tight story from James Valvis. Thanks for putting it up, Sheldon.
What a great moment in JV's piece -
"He brings the cigarette to his lips. Soon it’ll be the 8790th day of his life. The man rises, looks out the window while the television bounces azure images off the walls. No wonder the dead sleep."
Yes. Strong work. Thanks the link the piece.
Now that's how you write a story!
(Thanks for making the rest of us feel insecure...)
Thanks so much, Sheldon!
And thanks to those who read also.
A great story, James! And thanks, Sheldon, for bringing this gem to our attention.
Thanks, Robert!
You are so welcome, James!
good stuff...
(better yet, order his poetry book...)
I thought this was a brilliant piece of writing! Congratulations James. I read this after Sheldon posted it here. I wrote James after reading it awhile ago. I am finally getting around to writing something on the forum. I hope more of you will check this out. It is a gem!
