About Me

I am a personal essayist, mother and former litigator who lives in downtown Manhattan and an antique Connecticut farmhouse. I love to make crafts, read, practice yoga and connect.

Why do you write?

I write because I must. Living with an open heart fuels my creativity. When I capture experience in words, I put a fence around it, organize it, say what it is and what it is not. I can keep it, make it everlasting and pass it on.

Any favorite authors? Books?

Philip Roth, Goodbye, Columbus. Julie Orringer, How to Breathe Underwater. Saul Bellow, The Adventures of Augie March. Richard Ford, Flannery O'Connor, Joan Didion, Lorrie Moore, Ray Carver, Mary Karr.
