Michael Noll

About Me

I am a writer and teacher living with my family in Austin, TX.

I teach composition, magazine writing, creative writing, and literature at Texas State University. I also teach independent writing workshops and craft seminars in the Austin area, drawing students with no writing experience to students with MFA degrees.

I have been the writer-in-residence at the Katherine Anne Porter House and an assistant editor at Narrative Magazine. My stories have been published at American Short Fiction and The Owls. I’ve written about parenting for The Good Men Project and told stories at The Story Department. I’m currently at work on Seven Attacks of the Dead, a novel.
