I have a two-year old daughter that's already cooler than I am. I have a wife who loves me in spite of myself. I play guitar, love the Pittsburgh Steelers and would eat steak every night if I could get away with it. I work for a bank during the day, and at night I pretend to be Batman, though my car isn't as cool.
I like to write. Short stories are so much fun to read because you can get so much impact from such few words. They're fun to write because once you think of an idea, they practically write themselves.
Plus, I don't have the patience and stamina to write a novel. I've tried. It's... not pretty.
I read everything I can get my hands on, from classics to general fiction to bad biographies.
Some of my favorite authors are Neil Gaiman, JRR Tolkien, Michael Connelly and Chuck Palahniuk.
My favorite book is always the next one I read. That's what keeps me reading.
