    Claudia Bierschenk started writing poetry and short fiction in English while living in Britain, where she completed a course in Creative Writing at Sheffield University. A lot of her work captures her childhood experience in East Germany, as well as travels and random encounters. Claudia has been published in several independent literary magazines (Juice Press, Durable Goods, Full of Crow, SANDJournal)and her first poetry chapbook "Perestroika Silence" was published in March 2010 with erbacce Press, Liverpool. Her work has featured in several poetry anthologies by Forward Press, UK. She has been published on "Pure Slush" online and in print, most recently in "Gorge - a novel in stories" (Pure Slush Vol. 4) and "Versus" (Pure Slush Vol. 5)
    Claudia lives in Berlin, Germany.
