Why do you write?

Good question.. I always try to answer this and the answer frequently changes.

At the end of the day it is a way to express something on the inside, on the outside.

I have one request if you read what I write and feel moved to post a comment:
Be brutally honest. I have thick skin.
I am not a glutton for pain, but I am looking to improve as a writer. I'd rather know what I am doing wrong than hear what I have done right.
