About Me
Ben was born in Waterloo, Iowa. He arrived wet, naked, and cold and it only got worse from there. He likes playing darts, collecting vinyl albums, and Pabst Blue Ribbon. He hates celebrities, politicians, and Taco Bell. Depending on whom you ask, his exploits are either legendary or completely fabricated, but always fun to hear. He is currently scripting and attempting to draw a comic based on a fictional heavy metal band and stays up much too late every night working on it.
Why do you write?
I love science fiction, especially about other worlds. I like the idea of there being something else out there, things that would blow my mind if I were to see them. I guess that's why I write- trying to imagine what things would be like on another world or in another time.
Any favorite authors? Books?
My favorite book is The Lord of the Rings by JRR Tolkien. I love how the world the characters inhabit is so completely fleshed out. I like all that detail in fictional worlds.
My favorite authors/writers would be JD Salinger, Tolkien, Joss Whedon, Stan Lee, George Lucas, and James Cameron.

Yeah, I finally got around to seeing it in 3D. It was different, since I had never been to a movie in 3D, but at least it was Avatar, a movie practically made for the technology.
I know this D.P. person must be referring to Avatar, and I concur. I usually hate things in 3-D...but I loved it.
Pay the extra money for the 3-d glasses--it's amazing and beautiful!
