I enjoy the content of this strangely laid out poe(m), Eryk! Playful, yet dark, the imagery in the midst of the title and double message opening and closing of aloneness, left me with strong feelings.
To ponder: would crash-ing (versus crashed) be more in unison with mourning and morning? Not sure, just a consideration.
Either way, a fave.
I like this, Eryk. I think you knew I'd say that!
Robert makes an interesting point above, but I think I like "crashed" as a more direct and "finalized" past-tense image. "Mourning" is, I suppose, present tense; but I tend to read the title as saying "(regarding) mourning" -- so, I think it works out fine.
Thanks, guys, for your input. Hearing comments from both perspectives really helps.
