A wordless beckoning,
A siren's call
pierced waxed ears.
Lashed to the mast,
Who helms this vessel,
This beating heart?

Author's Note
At 2 AM, I contemplated the inadequacy of words to fully convey meaning.
To give one's self up to the depth and mysterious journey of love, is but one example. This is my inadequate attempt to illustrate that poignancy in just a few lines.
