This poem is part of a collection of poems I am currently working on called The Beach Poems dedicated to Annie Dillard written on the shore of Duxbury Beach in Duxbury, MA, my hometown. This collection examines how place helps define memory, focusing on the memories of growing up on the beach, the emotions and exploration of girlhood-childlike fragility captured in memory for a moment

I enjoyed the "crisp/crashing/cold" wave and the breaks in-between.
Good mix of imagery and form. Really like the echo.

I really wanted to reflect the repetitive nature of the wave crashing over and over
