My story 'Cold' is now up at the very fantastic and very cool Pulp Metal Magazine. Such a buzz :)
Ian, thanks for starting this thread. Can you give us the link? Then we can buzz along with you. Or for you. Or something :)
My story "The Uninvited Guest" got a little notice. The story is out in the July/August issue of Crimespree Magazine (which is a lovely old-fashioned papery thing).

Hi Jane. Doing all this from work so sort of looking over me shoulder. Can't believe I forgot the link. Here it is:

And well done with 'The Uninvited Guest', Jane. That's fantastic news :)
My story 'Small Print' now up on A Twist of Noir.
Just had two of my storie, 'Boxes' and 'There is a Lake in a Wood' accepted for publication by Powder Burn Flash.
Another couple of slices of luck. My story 'Free' just been accepted by Thrillers, Killers, and Chillers, and the story 'Over the Edge' - on here a little while ago, has just been accepted for publication by Pulp Metal Magazine. How bonkers is that?
Hey, now. Don't give luck all the credit!
Thanks, Jane. And this morning had 'The Breaking' accepted for publication by Out of the Gutter, for the Brits v Yanks issue.
“Look, noir is about losers. The characters in these existential, nihilistic tales are doomed. They may not die, but the probably should, as the life that awaits them is certain to be so ugly, so lost and lonely, that they’d be better off just curling up and getting it over with. And, let’s face it, they deserve it.” Otto Penzler in “Noir Fiction is About Losers, Not Private Eyes.”
Penzler says this just about as well as it can be said. You might want to read the rest of what he has to say before you go any further. You have a piece of writing that fits this description, put it here. Long or short. Nobody cares. But don’t be posting clever who-dun-its or kitty cat mysteries, or somebody’ll be knocking at your door.
This is a public group.
Anyone can see it and join.
