    Hey, folks,

    Much news here. Lost the Aesthetica prize in the U.K., but came within a whisker. A good guy won, so that's cool. In my best Maxwell Smart voice: "Missed it by *that* much... ;)

    Won the Crucible prize with a poem called Opera. And just found out I'm a finalist for the Sow's Ear poetry prize. That's a nice one. Announcement will be in January.

    Great news about winning the Crucible prize with "Opera," Bill. And being a finalist for Sow's Ear prize is no easy task. Congratulations.

    Congratulations Bill. Happy that good things are happening for you. Even though you were close for the one prize, just knowing that is great! Congratulations on your poem "Opera" winning.
