I've recently joined the 21ST century and got myself one of these crazy smartphones. Turns out it's basically a little tiny computer that's replaced my laptop for all my communication and online stuff.
Even short writing, notes & poems I'm doing in this Writer app ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jamesmc.writer&hl=en )
Was wondering, what apps are you guys using?
Also, a fictionaut app would be amazing. Any chance of that, or an API so we can roll our own?
I use Apple's Pages application and apps. I can write on my laptop, iPad, or iPhone (all devices I use for work). With the iPhone and iPad, sometimes I use a Bluetooth keyboard (I am now). I keep drafts in Dropbox so I can get to them on any device.
Lol, you're such an Apple fanboy, Gowin. :)
I am typing on the touch screen. I have mastered my autocorrect & it now corrects my profanity to other profanity, e.g. this a.m. it corrected asshole to asswhore.
I have ubuntu one set up for files, but haven't actually used it yet. I usually get stuff remotely via scp & am (obvs) a very reluctant adopter. These days, if I've got something that works for me, it takes hardware death to force me to upgrade.
I did an "iPad apps for writers" thing a little while ago here: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/jurgen-fauth/ipad-apps-writers_b_3199044.html. I use Evernote constantly on my Android phone.
We'd have to talk to Carson about the API, and I wish I could say there's an app in the works... In the meantime, Pocket works well for reading: you can add stories from any browser and they show up on your device nicely formatted: http://getpocket.com/
Yeah, Frankie it's all from work, all my Apple stuff. Apple is evil, but their stuff works.
