"This is the extraordinary thing about creativity: If just you keep your mind resting against the subject in a friendly but persistent way, sooner or later you will get a reward from your unconscious." -- John Cleese
A psychological studies of artists asked: How many uses can you think of for a brick? The higher scorers were rated as more creative by teachers. It's the difference between divergent thinking with endless answers and convergent with one. More creative people are more divergent thinkers.
Sally-H:
Your mind is greater and quicker. I sincerely apologize and sit at your Chinese Pincess feet. Then slowly remove your tiny shoe and begin to roll down your sock - down - down - down - d. . .
Gloria G:
Uh - what were we talking about?
Ramon -
Oh, behaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaave!!
(but please, don't stop!)
As in, Don't! Stop! - don't stop?
OK, OK -- I begin to roll your sock back up. Slowly, oh, so slowly; gently over your tiny, curved instep, a secret brush against the ankle bone. At the sock top, I MUST make a decision . . .
Think carefully, Nevada Kid.
I pack a mean left hook!
um, am I interrupting? :D
sally-h:
Oh, I've had experience with Kiwis. I know a NZ editor who follows her left hook with a wicked overhand right -- knock yer sox off!
Sally H:
No interruptus -- a man can't have too many Sallies.
Sallie forth, then.
