Timothy Schaffert is the author of four novels: "The Coffins of Little Hope" (Indie Next pick; starred review from Publishers Weekly; 4-star review in People); "Devils in the Sugar Shop" (New York Times Book Review Editors’ Choice); "The Singing and Dancing Daughters of God" (Barnes and Noble Discover Great New Writers pick); and "The Phantom Limbs of the Rollow Sisters" (the Nebraska Book Award). He teaches in the English Department at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and serves as the Web Editor for Prairie Schooner, and as the director of two literary nonprofits: UNL’s Nebraska Summer Writers Conference and the (downtown) omaha lit fest.
