South Australian Artist, Writer, Video Producer and Animator, David Arandle, working under the pseudonym 'The Extraordinary Tourist' or 'TET' for short.

Why do you write?

All my art is usually character driven in that I start from a character idea and work my way out from there.

I found my voice through blogging, writing short articles about whatever subject or idea was interesting me at the time. Writing everything from short, humorous life observations to travel diaries and product reviews.

In the last couple of years I've rediscovered an interest in animation and have been creating short animations based upon my own original scripts.

Ultimately I'm working my way up to longer and more involved story telling through whatever medium suits the idea.

Any favorite authors? Books?

I actually don't read a lot but I like the style of authors like Dan Brown, James Paterson and other similar writers. I prefer easy to read (in style not concept) over wordy intellectual tomes - though I'm up for the challenge of reading those too.
