About Me

I was born in Columbus, Ohio, raised in Eugene, Oregon, joined the Army, went to Korea, got out at Fort Eustis, Virginia and stayed here in Hampton Roads.

I don't have cable tv at home, and I try to limit my internet activities; I do my best to stay outside. A lot. I have interests in everything, which often leads to a great many unfinished projects that I promise to one day finish. I have insatiable tactile compulsions, which often lead to a great many awesome connections to the planet and people…but sometimes inadvertent social blunders.

I love to go places and do things, and I love to laze about doing nothing at all. I am impulsive! I will drive 500 miles to see people that I love on a three-day weekend. I am oddly reserved, though, and a boundary may spring up where you hadn't thought there might be one. For release and a kind of spiritual bliss, I like to immerse myself in activities that push envelopes, safely freaking me out. I sometimes do things that people might not understand. They can ask me about those things, and I'll probably confess all the sordid details. I am a fan of straight talk.

I'm an Aquarian, with Gemini Rising; resisting the norm and avoiding situations that restrict my freedom…while restricting myself to the norm and imposing my own boundaries on my freedom.

Yeah, I'm working on it.

To facilitate my selfish desire to traipse around without a care, I am very, very happily single. In real life, I generally don’t talk this much; especially about myself. I tend to stumble over words and have trouble describing the things in my head without writing them down. :) I am also a fan of comfortable silences.

Why do you write?

I write things for cathartic release of pent tension. If I have already released said tension in another medium, then I find that it takes more effort to write.

Any favorite authors? Books?

Patrick Rothfuss, Jacqueline Carey, Anne Bishop, J.R. Ward, Katherine Kurtz, Anne McCaffery, John Conroe...to name a few.

I feel like regurgitating something already written, to post here, would be weird. I'm going to write something new soon. :)

Fyi, that is.
