Before the hurricane, I'd been working on a novel for years, but after I got back to the city, I lost interest in fiction. So for the past five years, I've been writing non-fiction about the hurricane and its aftermath. I'm in the last stages of editing the last few chapters of my hurricane memoir/nonfiction novel, and soon I'll be sending out the book, looking for an agent. The name of this almost-finished, agentless book is Rubble Fever.
