I'm the prose editor at Big Lucks. My work is forthcoming in Compass Rose and Device Magazine. In 8th grade, I dunked a basketball. I'm working towards an MFA at American University.
A friend of mine once told me he wanted to get out of Staten Island: to hop on a bus and head to San Francisco, like they used to do in the 60s. When I asked him what was wrong he told me, "My worries, they're bigger than the both of us."
Forgive me. I don't know what to read anymore.
"Stories in the Worst Way" by Gary Lutz "Collected Stories" by Grace Paley "A Common Pornography" by Kevin Sampsell "Great Jones Street" by Don DeLilo
My grandmother was a fantastic story-teller.
Hey Mark C. - thanks for your words about my story. Congrats on the inaugural issue of Big Lucks!
Share a story, hoss. I feel like you'd have some great ones to offer. Also, it seems like a large, large person is comforting you in your profile pic. I dig that. We all need that from time to time.
My advice? Read everything. Why limit yourself?
