I strongly support the Chicago horror scene and have loved the horror genre since I was a kid. I'm a college grad who feels I should've taken more than one film class, but am glad to have had a phenomenal english prof that always encouraged my writing. I am an avid cinemaphile and it's helped me get through a lot of hardships this past year.
I worked at the Chicago Sun-Times newspaper for 10 years, where I worked in advertising art doing graphic design for ad creation and was in charge of facilitating the theatre guide directories. I also spent a year in pagination, which was great but certainly a waste of my education. I feel this experience helped me understand how to create visually appealing layout and how to write objectively.
Dreams and nightmares, mostly. The crazy predicaments life throws upon me that make up stories that've just got to be told. I prefer creative writing, whether or not it's fiction.
