About Me

I am a second career writer...except that I have no writing career as of yet.
I published my first book last Fall and am working up the courage to finish one of the other three I have "in the works."
I am hoping for critique of my writing so that I may improve and expand my efforts.

Why do you write?

Never being able to draw, let alone paint, I had to convey an image through words. This proved as therapeutic as anything else I did so I kept at it. I like to work out issues but not have to show my cards while doing so. Fiction and humor have proven the perfect disguises for this purpose.

Favorite authors include: F. Scott Fitzgerald, Alexander Dumas, Raymond Chandler, Ray Bradbury, Erma Bombeck, Fannie Flagg, and David Sedaris
Favorite books (in order) Count of Monte Cristo, Grapes of Wrath, The Great Gatsby, Bel Canto, A Prayer for Owen Meany, Three Musketeers and Fields of Fire
