I am a writer hoping to publish my first piece of fiction. I've written a number of children's stories and am in need of constructive feedback. My goal is to create quality works that educate, entertain, and inspire. At the moment, I'm working on a novel for young adult women. It is my first attempt at writing for this audience. Previously, I wrote a suspense thriller for adults that I never tried to publish. I'm hoping for honest, thoughtful comments from readers that will help take my writing to the next level.
I've been an avid reader since childhood. I read primarily for entertainment- the rush and excitement of being transported into another world, another reality. I write for the love of writing itself. The opportuntiy to breathe life into characters and places and to lead alternative lives. For me, writing is a passion and a labor of love.
I don't have a favorite author. I love a number of authors and genres of fiction. Favorite children's authors include: L.M. Montgomery, C.S. Lewis, Shel Silverstein, Judy Blume, Dr. Suess, Sandra Boynton, and E.B. White. I'm a sucker for a good thriller or novel that contains elements of the paranormal.
