Originally was a starving fiction writer - have been a marketing and business writer, writing mostly creative non-fiction about products, services and capabilities that may or may not yet exist. Want to return to my roots, except for the starving part.
Almost anything is grist for the mill. I've published a couple of hundred kilowords - but no fiction. I have felt this lack painfully for a long time!
Because I need to. (why do you write?)
1) The Language Instinct - Steven Pinker 2) Use of Weapons - Iain Banks 3) The October Country - Ray Bradbury... Read More 4) Neuromancer - William Gibson 5) Lonely Werewolf Girl - Martin Millar 6) The Mysterious Flame of Queen Loana - Umberto Eco 7) A Confederacy of Dunces - John Kennedy Toole 8) Bad Brains - Kathe Koja 9) From the Heart of Darkness - David Drake (early Drake horror shorts - a toothsome collection if ever there was one) 10) A Fine Balance - Rohinton Mistry 11) Worse Things Waiting - Manly Wade Wellman 12) Ninety Two In the Shade - Thomas McGuane 13) The Consolation of Philosophy - Boethius 14) The Great Hunger - Cecil Woodham-Smith 15) Midnight Blue - Nancy Collins
