  • About Me

I'm the author of Sandrine's Letter to Tomorrow (Ig, 2007). I'm a native and current resident of New Orleans. I'm drafting my second novel so I can get to the third, already in the emergent stage.

    Why do you write?

Always there's a question about human behavior--How can __ be like __ toward ___? Which is real, false, repeated, unconscious?--that I think I know the answer to but find I only think I know something about it. Only when I sink into someone else's "skin" do I understand.

    Any favorite authors? Books?

A Disobedient Girl--Ru Freeman, Robert Walser, Yoko Ogawa, Junichiro Kawabata, Stacey D'Erasmo, Percival Everett, Valerie Martin, Sorry--Gail Jones, Ian Frazier, Alison Bechdel, Marjane Satrapi, Mail Order Bride--Mark Kalesniko, Jim Thompson, Mary Robison, Invisible Man--Ralph Ellison, The Bluest Eye/Sula/Song of Solomon--Toni Morrison.....
