Explosion. The corduroyed father is outraged and enraged. Spectator in a world where a son metamorphoses. This is ugly. This should be stopped. The boy wasn't raised this way.
Son is, as sons are, embarrassed.
But he has changed, my friend. He has chosen. Youth must. Youth seeks confrontation on the field of play. Let them go to war and be thankful it's umpired. Adapt, or stay with your pastel TV. You forget what adrenaline is for.

I watched this scenario play out recently and was amused and intrigued.

Anything that makes me stop and think is worth a few lines. Nicely observed.
Adrenaline is also for fear. It can switch from anger to fear and vice versa in a split second.
