"<i>For the past 6 weeks poets from around the world have been sending poems to the People’s Library in an effort to create a living/breathing poetry anthology in solidarity with the Occupy Wall St. movement. All poems are accepted into the anthology. The anthology is updated on a weekly basis. If you’d like a poem added to the anthology email stephenjboyer@gmail(dot)com and please include “occupy poetry” in the subject.</i>"

In a world where the forces that perpetuate racial, social, political, gender, and economic inequality are beginning to fracture... In a world where repression and greed have been the rule for too long... In a world where ordinary people have access to communication in unprecedented numbers, we have come to a threshold.
Step over that threshold.
All over the world, people are beginning to understand there is power in numbers… That they need no longer stand aside and let the few and the wealthy control the destiny of all.
This is where you can begin to speak your mind. Say it aloud in a hundred different ways. Say it in your own voice, in your own way, "We are the 99%. And we will take control of our own destiny."
Join your voices to those who Occupy and overcome.
We also speak who only write… and sometimes even louder.
This is a public group.
Anyone can see it and join.
