Many of you have probably seen that Nanoism is currently running a pretty neat contest through the end of this month. We're looking for 5-tweet (yes, that's right) serials. General theme: "life stories"
Details: http://nanoism.net/meta/december-serial-contest/
For people looking for an example of what a "twitter-fiction" or nanofiction serial looks like, you can check the Folded Word and Nanoism groups here on Fn. One example: http://www.fictionaut.com/stories/ben-white/moving-on
Also, if you mention this contest on your site in the next couple of days, you are allowed to submit 2 entries. We've already gotten a bunch of entries from Fn people, so come join the fun.
Just a bump to say that there is a shade under a week left to enter our contest. Write!
As an update on this very spammy self-serving forum post:
We picked winners and this month, starting Monday, December 7, we'll be serializing our four winning stories.
Additionally, there's a new discussion of serialized fiction going on at the Nanoism group, so come on by. I'm personally really curious to hear people's thoughts about the viability and need of serials in the 21st century.
