    We were recently walloped by Typhoon Juan and still without power; hence, no posts on FN and way behind in reading stories. I am sitting here in a government building after asking them if I could use their power (they are on generator) and so this will be the only time i can use the net until November 3. The gods be praised because I'll be going to Manila and then a few days later fly home to the US.

    Four years away is a long f----- time. it will be good to be home.

    Thanks everyone. Made it through the storm ok, pretty intense though, on the scale of Hugo and Andrew. I'm super happy they turned the power back on sooner than expected.
