    I like him more than any public figure out there in the world today. I won't go back to being a practicing RC, but I really, really like this Pope.

    I think of him representing Roman Catholicism as I did Gorbachev representing the Soviet Union. Not that I expect RC to come undone, but maybe to become more truly spiritual (as opposed to rigidly liturgical).
