This place is kind of overwhelming. Where do I start?

Look up, right on top of yo' head. There's a thread...

Haha, yeah. I read that, but was wondering more about the site as a whole. I'm lame. Ignore me.

Do you know how to post? Click on "Stories" above and go down to the blue button that says "Add a Story," copy/paste it in. Then it'll say "Preview Story" Click on that to see if you like how it looks. IF not, there's an "Edit your story" at the top of the page. If so, click on "Publish your Story."

Tyler-- Why don't you ask a specific question about a specific area of the site that is confusing you, and I'm sure someone will be kind enough to answer. What is it about the "site as a whole" that is confusing you? You're not lame (at least you haven't proven that's an aspect of your personality), just a bit vague. Ask away.

I've done some perusing. Probably jumped the gun asking. Thanks though.

Tyler you're absolutely right--it is overwhelming--and you have every right to ask for help. Problem is you're asking a bunch of writers--so you're gonna get a lot of differing perspectives. You don't have to choose one in particular. Just write something, post it, and see what happens. Then do it again. Read stuff, get inspired, write some more, join some groups and enjoy the company of so many creative people all jammed onto the same crazy bus.
