Hey Fictionauts,
Well, its more than a month away but already we've had some great participants enter stories into the Flag Day Challenge!
I suggest taking a look at Pleiku Jacket by Jane Hammons if you haven't already (http://www.fictionaut.com/stories/jane-hammons/pleiku-jacket-2). The story is also currently in the lead with 37 favorites.
Susan Tepper's Little (http://www.fictionaut.com/stories/susan-tepper/little-flag-day-challenge) is also an excellent read, as well as Walter Bjorkman's Some Patriots Won't Like this Poem. (http://www.fictionaut.com/stories/walter-bjorkman/some-patriots-wont-like-this-poem-is-it-wron)
The very recent addition to the challenge has been the interesting story that Matt DeVirgiliis posted called Four Thousand Dollars from Baghdad. (http://www.fictionaut.com/stories/matt-devirgiliis/four-thousand-dollars-from-baghdad)
I think Matt's might be the first one that uses the current wars in Iraq and Afghanistan (if my memory serves me well, that is) in the challenge. Will be interesting to see what else comes along.
Though there's still plenty of time to get stories in for the challenge, don't let time slip by too quickly... June will be here faster than anyone can imagine.

Good luck everyone! I'll be posting reviews in the coming days (I know I promised that like three weeks ago with a few stories... I just haven't had time yet.)
