Yeah write is looking for writers interested in leading an on-going "how to not bore your readers to death with your blog posts" writer's series.
The person leading the sessions would need to bring the right balance of reverence and irreverence to the writing series, and we might succeed in wrestling the melodramatic pathos from some of the narratives as well as show people how to look at an everyday situation from a lighter perspective. Then write to it within an acceptable structure.
The session leader would receive 70% of all enrollments in his or her sessions. Yeah write will send announcements to its 500 subscribers and the leader is also welcome to spread the word to invite participants.
My current, yet flexible plan is to begin in late September or early October.
The website is here: http://yeahwrite.me
You can see samples of the summer session, led by the yeah write editors (some of the posts are guest posts written by the emerging writers from our community) here: http://yeahwrite.me/category/summer-series-2012/
Hi Erica, though I'm interested in this, I don't have the time, alas, but I aspire to not bore the readers of my blog to death. I don't know what my posts due to them, but I put a lot of thought into writing these little ditties. They are rather like blues piano, dirty melodies played under a competitive yellow moon. Check it out: http://marcusspeh.com/blog/ — if there is an online discussion on good literary blogging, I'd be interested to see it and I would contribute to it.
Thanks for the reply, Marcus! I'll keep you in mind. Please send me an email reminder?
