CPR has initiated a $500 Editor's Favorite award. Our selection for 2011 was a difficult choice. The award, finally, will be shared by Manisha Anand for 'Skinwriting' and Kevin Ritter for 'about a man I saw in a restaurant.' Congratulations to both. These wonderful pieces can be read in the CPR archives by clicking on the authors' names. Looking forward to more fine work to choose from in the future...
Nice idea, Barry. Congratulations to Kevin and Manisha.
Yes, congrats to Manisha and Kevin! Barry, this award is a great idea.
Thanks, guys. I get so much pleasure out of the great writing sent to CPR, I wanted to give something back.
I know future Editor's Favorites will be just as hard to choose as the first one. And that's a very good thing.
What a thoughtful thing to do, and what great pieces to have selected!
Barry this is terrific! Congratulations to the winners!
Thanks, Susan & Susan. I'm hoping it helps CPR continue to attract fine work. There are only 52 slots per year, but still....
Congratulations to the winners!!! It is great what you do Barry!
Thanks, Gloria. They're all winners. That's what makes it so difficult to choose one that pierced me just a bit more...I love this stuff...
Barry, your love of writing and consistent support of new writers is appreciated more than you know.
Thanks, James. There are a lot of folks like that here, some most of us never even hear about.
