I've writing course material, technical books, and fiction (for fun) for a long time now. Most of my books are about the Internet and networking, but I've also been published in military history and classical studies. I've been a technical trainer, college professor, and technical writer for most of my career.
I live with my wife in a house that's half library, along with six dogs, two cats.
I tell people that when I wrote my first book, I wanted to but I didn't have to, and now I don't want to write more, but I *have* to.
Writers create themselves as much as they create words, I think.
I have read almost every word that Clive Barker has written, along with a lot of Dean Koontz. I also enjoy Preston and Child (as a team and individually), but lately they have become too predictable. I read mostly non-fiction, and that feeds me ideas for my fiction, both short stories and novels. I dabble in Harlan Coben, but I'll read anything that strikes me as fresh and entertaining.
