My short works have been published in Eclectica, The Sun magazine, and Bluestem. I'm also the author of many book indexes, and an encyclopedia entry. Sometimes I am on Twitter.

Why do you write?

I have no idea, I spent years trying to quit.

Any favorite authors? Books?

Dickens and Woolf and Charlotte Bronte and Shakespeare, back when, to begin with. Chekhov (stories and plays). Some works by George Sand, Flaubert, Zola, Louise Erdrich, Amin Maalouf, Arnold Bennett, Muriel Spark, Tolstoy, Dostoyevsky, Joyce, Cortazar, Julian Barnes, and Zadie Smith. P.G. Wodehouse. Alison Bechdel. Lynda Barry. Lots of plays, occasional poetry. Was frustrated by Eugenides' The Marriage Plot, enjoyed the first half of Bachmann's Malina more than the second.
