Here is the author bio I use.
Robert Schladale currently occupies a small patch of Northern California where he is a recovering technical writer, gardener, Italian ice vendor, shoe salesman, Assistant Secretary for Health and Human Services, toll collector on the New Jersey Turnpike, nursing home orderly, mail man, energy economist, janitor, substitute teacher, research assistant at the Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory, paperboy, and board member of the California Tahoe Conservancy. His work has been published in The Smoking Poet, Everyday Fiction, Word Riot, Smokelong Quarterly, Defenestration and Prick of the Spindle.
On the level of individual characters, I'm interested in how people tick, the broad variety of interesting personalities in the world, and what happens when different ones come into contact. At a social level, I'm interested in politics and the many guises that political actors adopt. I usually incorporate one or more current issues into my stories, e.g., disabled veterans, endangered species, small communities struggling to survive, etc.

A few books that stand out - well, short stories by the foregoing authors are typically good reads. At present I'm only reading short stories because that's what I'm writing.
No one has written on Robert Schladale's wall.
