I am a policy researcher and programmer by trade, working to shed light on neighborhood well-being and make government data more accessible to community groups and lay people. Before becoming a father, my life and interests were simple: birds, nature, music, and soccer. Now I see the world through my daughter's eyes; these simple interests aren't so easy to explain to a 3-year old. My life is now more complicated and varied.
I write to bring attention to the marginalized, to help the mainstream understand those of us who have often been misunderstood.
