Greek-Cypriot writer of films, plays and stories. My plays have been on tour and my stories and film scripts have been longlisted or shortlisted for competitions over the years, but I've yet to be published. That's the goal. After that, probably just lounging around in a robe watching "QI" repeats and eating things that come in tubes.
I think anything can fuel you, no matter the medium. I'm normally awed into submission by something great, but inspired by something terrible. As for why I write, I'll have to think of a way to justify myself and get back to you after I've had a good cry.
"Wide Sargasso Sea" knocked me sideways then set me on fire. What a book. More recently, I've loved "The Sisters Brothers", "State of Wonder" and "A Visit from the Goon Squad".
