I'm studying for an MA at Miami University (in Ohio) and I teach freshman comp. Before that I went to Michigan (Ann Arbor). I'm originally from Detroit and so lots of my writing has to do with that. I also spent a couple years in Bangkok, Thailand, and go back there whenever I can afford it.
Before I started writing, I was an actress--the singing dancing kind. Now I just tap dance in elevators or in lines. I also write music on the guitar and sing. Here's a sample: www.myspace.com/norabonnermusic
My first published story, "Burying Jeremy Green," just got picked up and will be in Shenandoah sometime next year.
