I'm a teacher and a PhD student. I like music by Death Cab for Cutie, Sigur Ros, Jay-Z, Britney Spears, and Taylor Swift. I have pink stars tattooed on my right hand.
I've always written. Part of the reason I do it, though, is because I have yet to read the perfect book (and I've read thousands of great books), and I'm hopeful enough to think that one day I might be able to write one... at least that is perfect to me.
This question never seems fair. The books I go back to again and again are _the Sun Also Rises_, _Love in the Time of Cholera_, _The Feast of Love_, _Pride and Prejudice_, and _Middlemarch_. I like Jonathan Safran Foer, Arthur Phillips, Jeanette Winterson, Shannon Hale, and Zadie Smith a lot. I also read a lot of pop lit... particularly romance novels. I recently read _Jane Eyre_ for the first time and loved it.
