Why do you write?

A while back, in the midst of writing a novel, I wrote this:

1. It is within me. It is given to me—it is beauty I must give.
2. For my life, for my family, and for my future.
3. It is the gift that he has been given to me that helps me see God. I lose my own existence without using these gifts. I lose Him; I find it hard to see if I do not write, paint, love, run, do.
