About Me

American writer living in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. I write novels, memoirs, short stories (literary fiction and narrative nonfiction mostly), poetry, abhorrent freelance pieces for exorbitant amounts of pesos to pay the bills while drinking cervezas in paradise with tourists. Recent publications include more than six hundred pieces of fiction published in such places as > Kill Author, SmokeLong Quarterly, The Lifted Brow, Contrary, Johnny America, Word Riot, Neon, decomP, The Dirty Napkin, elimae, Juked, The Monarch Review, Bluestem Magazine, Monkeybicycle, Atticus Review, The Examined Life Journal from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine, and hundreds of other wonderful publications. I read for PANK Magazine and am memoir editor of Split Lip Magazine. I don't know what the hell to post here. My debut novel THE RITALIN ORGY was published in February, 2013 by Perpetual Motion Machine Publishing. Second novel and debut short story collection forthcoming. Not going to post everything and clog up this nice white page. Let's have a few drinks by the ocean at sunset, you and me, beachfront, with a bucket of Mexican beer on ice.

Any favorite authors? Books?

F. Scott Fitzgerald, Hunter S. Thompson, Jack Kerouac, Edgar Allan Poe, Raymond Carver, Ernest Hemingway, John Cheever, Don DeLillo, Truman Capote.
