I'm 24 years old and I live in the Nashville area. I graduated in May with a degree in English from Middle Tennessee State University and I'm now trying to make my way to grad school.
Well, when I was younger I would write because I was convinced that I had felt some emotion no one had ever felt before and I just had to get it down on paper. I suppose that's as good an answer as any.
I'm bad about reading popular authors and not many literary writers. As such, I'm pretty well a blank slate. I should read less junk.
Anyway, feel free to recommend authors to me.
